Description of assignment: This assignment followed on from a prototyping project carried out in 1997 for the same client. The product was ready to be implemented world-wide in a number of clients and HCL were engaged to develop a methodology which would ensure consistent implementations.
The methodology was based upon a standard project plan built in MS-Project. Each activity was accompanied by a hyperlink in the plan to a detailed description of the requirements for that activity. HCL worked closely with expert client staff to refine the methodology and it was subsequently used by client staff in implementations.
HCL also collated archive material for all previous implementations so that client staff could refer to these and the lessons learnt to improve the quality of deliverables on subsequent assignments. |
